Greengage requires a quality technician to support the customer concerns process within their growing organisation.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
Responsible for product quality support and customer concerns process.
Responding to customer concerns in a timely manner, meeting customer responsiveness expectations.
Inspecting customer returns and creating reports on failure mode.
Providing the product development team with continuous improvement suggestions from lessons learned and customer feedback.
Testing new products and providing an independent assessment of product quality.
Supporting the installation and commissioning engineer with site visits to evaluate system performance.
Primary customer contact for concerns, via service desk implementation.
Primary contact internally for customer quality.
Although this is a UK-based role, the successful candidate will be required to travel to overseas sites on occasions.
HNC in an engineering subject.
Educated in Quality Management principles.
Craftsman, electrical or electronics discipline.
All candidates must be able to demonstrate the following skills and key competencies
Commercially aware, able to identify business risks in situations of product failure.
Attention to detail, with a quality focus.
Responsive, confident and professional, able to remain calm under pressure from customers to resolve problems.
Good problem solving abilities able to define and solve problems proactively.
Risk assessment, and design for six sigma.
Strong communicator, able to convey complex issues simply and work globally with customers whose first language may not be English.
Customer facing support role in quality.
Inspecting and repairing electrical / electronic products.
Engaging with suppliers for root cause and corrective actions related to product quality.
Manufacturing quality processes, e.g, PPAP, 8D.
Six sigma, understanding of statistics, variation analysis and statistical process control.
